Aerogel slurry is made of high-performance SiO₂ aerogel as the main raw material. It uses a unique special process to disperse hydrophobic SiO₂ aerogel particles in a water medium to prepare a slurry with high-efficiency thermal insulation performance. It also retains the structure of the aerogel to the greatest extent, solving the dust problem of the aerogel during use and transportation. After drying, the water-based aerogel slurry will show hydrophobic properties.

Before using the slurry, there will be layered liquid at the bottom, which is normal. Just stir it evenly before use.
The customer can adjust the viscosity of the liquid at the bottom of the slurry as needed, or add no more than 50% water to adjust the viscosity.
When the slurry becomes drier or has a high viscosity due to external factors, dust may be generated during operation, which is normal.
When dust occurs during operation, customers can first use the liquid at the bottom of the slurry, or add no more than 50% water to cover and wet the slurry surface, then slowly stir it into wet slurry, and finally stir it at high speed before use.
After use, the slurry must be sealed and stored away from light in an environment below 28°C.
If the slurry that has exceeded its service life remains in a wet state, it can be used by adding no more than 50% water or our company’s special agent to wet the surface first, slowly stirring it into a slurry, and then stirring it at a high speed to make it uniform, without affecting the performance. If it becomes a dry block, please contact our company’s technicians and treat it according to our company’s instructions before using it.
It is recommended that customers add a small amount of water and stir once every month, which can extend the shelf life of the slurry to more than 6 months. The amount of water added can be controlled according to the state of the slurry.
This slurry can be used in an alkaline or acidic environment, but should not be mixed with a large amount of organic solvents.
The amount of aerogel slurry added is 35%-70%, and the recommended amount of aerogel slurry added is 40%.
