Aerogel Tech
The magical material that changed the world
About Areogel

Aerogel is the lightest solid material known

Aerogel is different from the “glue” in our traditional thinking. It is a solid material with a nanoporous mesh structure. It was invented by Kistler.S. in the United States in 1931. Because it is as light as mist and blue smoke, it is also called “blue smoke” and “frozen smoke”. It has set 15 Guinness records.

About Areogel

Aerogel has many excellent properties

The porosity of aerogel can reach 99.8%. A large amount of air is “locked” inside.
Therefore, it has an excellent barrier and reduction effect on energy (heat, sound waves, mechanical force). At the same time, because it has an extremely high specific surface area and disordered pore structure, it is very easy to adsorb other molecules, so it also has excellent adsorption performance. In terms of thermal insulation, waterproof performance, fire resistance, durable pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and air permeability, aerogel materials are not inferior to traditional organic or inorganic materials in any aspect, showing a very comprehensive material performance.

The best thermal insulation material so far

Among the many properties of aerogel, its thermal insulation performance is the most mature and widely used. Aerogel is the solid material with the best known thermal insulation effect. The special structure of aerogel can block all pathways of heat transfer, including heat conduction, heat convection, and heat radiation, making aerogel achieve a thermal insulation effect that other materials cannot match.

Aerogel’s thermal insulation principle

Infinitely extend the heat conduction path – reduce heat conduction

The mesh skeleton of aerogel infinitely extends the path of heat conduction, making heat conduction very difficult; and the nanoporous structure forms countless gas-solid interfaces, and heat is difficult to conduct at the gas-solid interface;

Internal air cannot circulate – inhibiting heat convection

The pore size of aerogel (20-50nm) is smaller than the mean free path of air (70nm), which means that the gas molecules in the pores cannot flow freely, thus inhibiting the thermal convection between gas molecules;

The gas-solid interface forms countless thermal barriers to limit thermal radiation

The network skeleton of aerogel forms an “infinite thermal baffle effect” and has a shielding effect on thermal radiation;

Our Services

We provide aerogel and aerogel application products

Aerogel powder

We provide silica aerogel powder in both pelletized and powdered form

Aerogel Slurry

Combining aerogel powder and traditional coatings, the coating has excellent thermal insulation performance and is widely used in construction and industrial fields.

Aerogel insulation Felt

Thermal insulation sheets with added aerogel powder are widely used in industrial pipelines, petroleum industry, and new energy insulation fields.

Aerogel coating

The main components are special high-performance resin emulsion, selected SiO₂ aerogel, etc., with water as solvent, and it is a high-performance thermal insulation material prepared through a special process.

Aerogel Waterproof & Heat Insulation Coils

Aerogel waterproof and thermal insulation membrane is an integrated waterproof and thermal insulation material. It is composed of a reflective aluminum film, an aerogel insulation layer, a self-adhesive waterproof base material, and a release film.

Aerogel Particles

Aerogel powder is a translucent product made from dry silica particles. The aerogel can be adjusted by adjusting the original aerogel particles and pore size.
